About the Company

A small, highly capital-efficient crypto team with a profitable DeFi product already in market, built and run by a very lean crew.

We're now going after a much larger opportunity. The foundation of it is building the best place to trade crypto, spot and perps, from your phone. On top of that sits an original social product with several novel mechanisms. We'll share more with promising candidates, but whatever you're picturing, think bigger.

The Role

You are the first and only engineer in your domain. The job is to take an original product vision and turn it into a robust system, holding the whole architecture and the smallest details in your head at the same time.

Stack. TypeScript and Node, Express 5, Postgres with Drizzle, pnpm monorepo, Awilix, Vitest, AWS (SQS, ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudWatch), Solana via @solana/kit, and market data from a range of external providers. Rust and Go are a plus.

You Will

• Build the best trading system in crypto.
• Own the entire trading infrastructure.
• Build the payout system that shares fees with the people who drive volume.
• Turn a dozen data providers into one reliable source of truth.
• Earn trust at the worst possible moment.
• Scale the system to $100M daily volume.

You Have

• Owned the system of record for customer funds across ledger, settlement, and matching.
• Defined a financial system's consistency guarantees and operating limits.
• Migrated live financial data with zero downtime and zero loss.
• Operated a high-throughput system under adversarial conditions.
• Been the final authority and the last escalation.
